For the second successive season Glamorgan 2nd XI have reached Finals Day of the Second Eleven T20 competition with the Welsh county’s second string meeting Hampshire 2nd XI in the semi-final, starting on Thursday at 1345pm at Wormsley. (writes Andrew Hignell)
The Finals Day of the 2023 competition is being staged at Sir Paul Getty’s ground in Wormsley, set in picturesque countryside in Buckinghamshire. Glamorgan won the competition last year, winning the Final against Leicestershire 2nd XI at Arundel Castle and, having won eight of their group games, they will be looking to successfully defend their title as they meet Hampshire 2nd XI in the second semi-final.
The first semi-final, starting at 1030am, sees Yorkshire 2nd XI meet Derbyshire 2nd XI, with the winners of the two semi-finals meeting in the Final which is scheduled to get underway at 1700pm.
