Glamorgan are committed to supporting the environment and through our partnership with WCRS we have increased recycling by 80% at The SSE SWALEC.
Glamorgan Cricket Club first began working with WCRS a matter of weeks before The First Investec Ashes Match, where our first challenge was to manage the waste for one of the sporting calendar’s most prestigious events with expected visitor numbers in excess of 60,000.
Through a working partnership with WCRS and our cleaning contractor AQS, we achieved a seamless operation throughout and with the first event under its belt, the next challenge was to look at how improvements could be made to boost the club’s overall recycling performance.
The partnership has been a huge success, boostng our percentage of recycled waste from 4% to 84%.
