Glamorgan cricketers are encouraging Cardiff residents to paint the city pink and blue, with a Cancer Research Wales sponsored walk taking place this summer.
Cricket stars Graham Wagg, Dean Cosker, Andrew Salter and Will Bragg joined the Cancer Research Wales team to launch the Cardiff Pink-a-Blue Walk at The SSE SWALEC.

The Pink-a-Blue Walk will take place on Sunday 23rd August, with hundreds of participants hoping to raise money for Wales' indigenous cancer charity.

The event will see walkers experience gorgeous views across Cardiff Bay, the Barrage and Penarth Marina during the 6 mile circular walk.

Walkers are encouraged to wear pink or blue (or both!) to show support for prostate and breast cancer research in Wales, for the event which is being sponsored by shoe-giant Skechers.

All money raised will go towards helping fund world class breast and prostate cancer research at sites such as Velindre Cancer Centre, in Cardiff.

Cancer Research Wales' Fundraising Manger, Laura Priddle said: The Pink a Blue Walk is always a great event which really puts the fun into fundraising, and we're really delighted that the Glamorgan players are supporting us.

This is a great way to get out and about in the fresh air, whilst helping to raise money for breast and prostate cancer research projects. Come on Cardiff, we can do this - we hope to see you there!

Glamorgan Cricketer Graham Wagg said: We're pleased to support Cancer Research Wales' Pink-a-Blue Walk and we encourage our supporters to take part on the 23rd August. I'm sure it will be a huge success again this year and it's great that all the money raised at the walk will remain in Wales to help fund vital research into cancer treatments and diagnosis.

The walk is open to people of all ages, including dog-walkers. Entry is £7 per person, while Pink-a-Blue t-shirts are also available to buy at £8.
