Glamorgans narrowest Championship defeat for 44 years

Glamorgan’s one-wicket defeat against Sussex at Colwyn Bay yesterday in the Specsavers County Championship was their narrowest by a wickets margin in a first-class match for 44 years.

Their previous one-wicket defeat had come against Gloucestershire at Bristol in 1973, and in all, it was only the ninth time which they had lost by this slender margin in a first-class match. For the record, the other one-wicket defeats have been:
