Gloucestershire vs. Glamorgan: Match Preview & Squad

9 Apr 2025 | Cricket

Glamorgan selectors have announced a 13-member squad for the Rothesay County Championship match against Gloucestershire at Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol, starting Friday 11 April.

After a home defeat against Leicestershire in the season opener, Richard Dawson's team will look to bounce back in the Battle of the Bridge against Gloucestershire.

Glamorgan were victors the last time the two teams met in the Championship, and tied a historic game of cricket at Cheltenham the match before. Centuries from Sam Northeast and Marnus Labuschagne saw Glamorgan reach agonisingly close to the mammoth target of 593 set by Gloucestershire, losing the tenth and final wicket off the last ball of Day 4 needing one run to win.

With Gloucestershire losing their first Championship match away at Derbyshire, both teams will look to get back on track in what promises to be amazing weather throughout the weekend.
