Glamorgan's vice-captain David Lloyd was the first player back at Sophia Gardens for training, and described the feeling of being back as "strange".
The all-rounder and Glamorgan's white-ball player of the year for 2019 was in particularly good touch in the nets, given the three month lay-off.
"It's strange, it feels like we've ended a season and come back for pre-season," said Lloyd.
"But it's nice to be back hitting balls and being outside.
"It's going to take a time to get used to but it's easily done and the main thing is to get back playing."
Training at the stadium is limited to one-to-one sessions, and there are strict health and safety protocols in place including one-way systems and temperature checks.
"I thought it would feel weird and I thought my net would have been a lot worse, but it actually went well, though the first ball I bowled went way down leg-side.
"It'll be interesting to see the standard after such a long lay-off, but for me it's quite refreshing to come back, trying to really enjoy the cricket and our time together as a team."
