John Derrick update

15 Jan 2017 | Cricket
As part of the treatment plan to seek to prevent future recurrence of the tumour the chemotherapy levels have been increased since Christmas and this is obviously hitting John hard.

He is currently having to spend quite a bit of time in bed and when up and about is pretty unsteady. The chemotherapy will continue until the end of May following which there will be an MRI scan and review.

The work on adapting the house funded by the PCA Fundraising Dinner should be completed in the next few weeks and this will hopefully make things easier.

Christine and John’s spirit is strong helped by the support of the whole cricket family, which was so memorably demonstrated at the event at The SSE SWALEC before Christmas.

If you would like to share your support for John and his family please feel free to share your wishes with @CricketWales on Twitter or @GlamCricket across social media.
