The 2026 International window opens at Sophia Gardens from 10am on Tuesday 2 September, giving fans of all ages a chance to enjoy world-class stars at the home of Welsh cricket. We can’t wait.
As confirmed, we will be hosting the following three high profile 2026 matches, with high demand anticipated.
SATURDAY 16 MAY 2026
ENGLAND WOMEN v NEW ZEALAND - ODI
A huge clash to start a big summer of international cricket in Cardiff. England Women take on the ICC Women's T20 World Cup winners New Zealand in what promises to be a blockbuster ODI at Sophia Gardens. Newly appointed England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt's side competed in a thrilling ODI series against India - and will look to win the first ODI series of the 2026 summer against the experienced Kiwis led by Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates.
THURSDAY 16 JULY 2026
ENGLAND MEN v INDIA – ODI
Arguably the biggest ODI series of the calendar year. England Men lock horns with the ICC Champions Trophy winners India at Sophia Gardens, as Harry Brook's flamboyant England get ready for the star-studded Indian team with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back. After an era-defining Test series in 2025, both teams promise a mouth-watering ODI clash with the ICC Cricket World Cup around the corner.
THURSDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 2026
ENGLAND MEN v SRI LANKA – IT20
IT20 nights at Sophia Gardens are always iconic, and 2026 promises to be nothing less. England Men welcome the passionate Sri Lankan Lions back to Cardiff, where the two teams faced off in two IT20s in 2021. From the mystery spin duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga to the slinging fast bowling of Matheesha Pathirana, Sri Lanka will be ready to challenge England at Sophia Gardens.
