The first sample of the 2016 Glamorgan limited overs shirt has arrived at The SSE SWALEC and 2015 Glamorgan Young Player of the Year David Lloyd took time out of his pre-season training to try it on
David, you've got the first look at the new shirt for 2016 season, what are your thoughts?
I'm quite impressed, its nice to have a bit of a change from the last two years, its a bit different from before and I do like it.
It was a breakthrough year for you last year and you had the young player of the year award as well, what went right for you and how can you push on for next season?
Having a run in the first team helped, I got a couple of wickets and a few scores and that gave me the confidence as the season went on and as the season went on I felt more part of the team and able to perform at that level so next year I want to push on and go a step further.
We look forward to seeing you in this new kit again out on The SSE SWALEC pitch, the question is can we push on in limited overs and get to the knockout rounds in the 50 or 20 over formats?
Definitely we can, we were unlucky against Gloucestershire in what turned out to be a 5 over game in the end so I think we have the right squad and mentality to go on and push further to semi-finals
You are now back in to pre-season, how does that shape up for you?
I'm back in with Tom (Turner ,S &C Coach) doing my fitness work and some work around my injuries that I have had, with my hamstring, and also back with Toby to work on my batting and Steve Watkin on my bowling so its one-to-one stuff and will keep me busy.
