Five Glamorgan Academy players heading to Abu Dhabi in December have had their fundraising efforts boosted following financial backing from Mid Glamorgan County Cricket Association.
Scott Thornton, Sam Pearce, Elliott Rees, Chris Matthews and Steff Roberts are amongst 14 players who are part of the Glamorgan Development Programme heading out for a 10-day training programme in Dubai.
Rob Wilkins, Chairman from Mid Glamorgan said, We're pleased to support these five Mid Glamorgan players with some financial support as they aim to raise the necessary funds for the trip.
These five players are role models for young cricketers in Mid Glamorgan and we hope they benefit from the trip to Dubai as well as continue with their success to date to go on and have successful cricket careers.
