Top 10 tips for ODI match day

21 Aug 2014 | Cricket
England will face India on Wednesday 27th August at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff and to help you enjoy your day here's 10 top tips.
1. Travel - There is no public car parking available at the ground on the day, the best way to get here is on a park and ride bus service or via public transport to Cardiff Central. Plan your journey in advance and leave plenty of time to get to the ground, particularly given the preparations for the NATO Summit in south Wales which are well underway and may cause heavy traffic. More details on how NATO may affect travel in Cardiff here
2. Bring cash with you to the ground, as payments at the food and drink units and any ticket upgrades you may need to purchase are cash only. However, there is a cash point on site you require one.
3. Bring a raincoat & sun-cream, please prepare yourself for all kinds of the British summer weather!
4. Don't forget your TICKETS! Check the map sent in the Event guide with your tickets or online here and see where you are seated so you are familiar with the ground before you arrive. No duplicate tickets will be issued.
5. Please stay off the pitch and within your limits so that you adhere to the Stadium Ground Regulations.
6. Take a walk around the ground, make sure you visit the Royal London Cricket Factory and test your cricketing skills at the Foster's Fanzone, as well as having your photo with the ICC Cricket World Cup, without missing a moment with the Fanzone big screen showing the action live.
7. Feeling peckish? Visit the Food Village or Foster's Fanzone, we have a selection of food available, including Vegetarian and Halal options.
8. There are plenty of bars in the Food Village, Foster's Fanzone and around the concourse. Please don't bring alcohol to the ground as it is prohibited within our Ground Regulations.
9. Our stewards and volunteer information ambassadors will be happy to help on the day. If you have any queries, big or small, please speak to a steward who will be happy to assist you.
10. Have a great day and enjoy your visit to the SWALEC Stadium!
