There was anohter sporting victory for Wales at The SSE SWALEC last night, as Welshman Mark Webster beat off the competiton to clinch the Foster\'s Pro Darts Masters title in Cardiff.
Webster, who was joined by fellow professionals Devon Petersen, Vincent Van der Voort and Simon Whitlock – whom he beat in the final – was the popular champion by the end of the night.
After the four pros played against Glamorgn cricketers David Lloyd, Colin Ingram, Graham Wagg and Michael Hogan in the first round, each darts player winning their match, they got down to the more serious business of taking each other on over seven legs. Darts legend Bobby George also made an appearance.
Webster, after beating Van der Voort 4-2 in an epic semi-final then claimed victory in the final over Australian 'The Wizard' Whitlock by the same scoreline.
The man nicknamed 'The Spider' was a worthy winner of the inaugral event, held in the National Cricket Centre at The SSE SWALEC.
It was a unique and memorable night of darts and both the cricketers and darts players put on a great show for the crowd.
