Groundsperson

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the existing Groundstaff at Glamorgan County Cricket Club. Based predominantly at the Sophia Gardens this is a full-time permanent position.   

This is an excellent opportunity to progress your skills in an environment that encourages continued professional development and within a company that strives for the highest standards.

The successful candidate will assist the Head Grounds Manager and his team in the preparation of pitches, practice nets, outfield and other areas of the Sophia Gardens and its out grounds to professional and International standards.

A flexible attitude towards working long hours, weekends and bank holidays is essential due to the seasonal nature of the job, and the preferred candidate will ideally have experience within the sports turf industry. Experience in professional cricket is not essential, however, applicants should have an enthusiasm for the challenges of high-quality turf production.
