Glamorgan Cricket has confirmed their 2020 pre-season programme with a series of matches against Gloucestershire in La Manga, followed by a visit to Taunton and an intra-squad match at Sophia Gardens.
The squad head to La Manga in Murcia, Spain on Thursday, 19th March for a warm-weather training camp and a series of matches against Gloucestershire. They play two T20 matches on Sunday, 22nd March and complete the tour with a two-day game (24-25 March).
Captain Chris Cooke and his men then travel to Taunton to play Somerset in a three-day game from 1st-3rd April.
Glamorgan will play a three-day intra-squad friendly game and finish their pre-season preparation with a three-day friendly against Cardiff MCCU starting on Friday, 13th April.
The home friendly against Cardiff MCCU is open to the public and is free of charge. Information about the start times for these fixtures will appear on the club’s website fixture list in due course.

April 1-3 - Glamorgan v Somerset (3-days) Taunton

April 13-15 - Glamorgan v Cardiff MCCU (3-days) Sophia Gardens
Head coach, Matt Maynard, said: “We saw a lot of value training outdoors last season in La Manga and the high level of facilities were very beneficial to our pre-season preparation, as was the opportunity to play matches against Gloucestershire.
“Somerset are a very good red-ball team and it will be a real test for our players to go up against them on their home patch.
“The intra-squad match last year was a success and will once again give the players the opportunity to compete against themselves for starting places when we face Cardiff MCCU and then Middlesex in our opening County Championship match of the season.”
