Glamorgan’s CEO, Dan Cherry, and Amber's CEO, Nick Proctor, recently reflected on their twelve-year partnership that began in 2012. They discussed the extensive experience and expertise Amber has brought to the club, as well as their role in managing energy for Sophie Gardens amidst an ever-changing sporting landscape.
In today’s ever-evolving sports landscape, venues and facilities must prioritise maintaining a low carbon footprint to benefit the environment. While emissions may not have been a priority in the past when maintaining a world-class facility, it is now crucial. Cherry describes this shift as transformative in the world of live events, with sustainability becoming increasingly important as we “...become better custodians of the planet and our world…”.
Glamorgan Cricket and Amber are committed to continuing their partnership and look forward to setting achievable Net Zero targets in the years ahead.
