After another thrilling victory on Friday night at Taunton over Somerset by seven runs, the Welsh county head back across the Severn Estuary on Sunday to meet Gloucestershire who themselves dramatically beat the Sussex Sharks on Friday evening at Hove by four runs with Graham McCarter taking three wickets in the final over to thwart a late rally by the Sharks..

So far this summer, Glamorgan have won three out of four games and lie behind Hampshire, the Kent Spitfires and the Essex Eagles in the nine-team division. In contrast, Gloucestershire - who began the season with two points having been deducted from last season when their pitch at Cheltenham was reported - have won two out of their four matches, beating the Middlesex Panthers at Bristol by five wickets, but they lost to Somerset by 18 runs at the Nevil Road ground and also to the Kent Spitfires by 21 runs at Canterbury.

However, the West Country side proved to be Glamorgan's nemesis in last year's t20 competition with Gloucestershire winning at Cheltenham College by ten wickets before posting a nine-wicket win at the SWALEC Stadium nine days later.

The weather was the only winner on Glamorgan's last visit to Bristol for a match in the short-form of the game with the game in the soggy summer of 2012 - like it's counterpart at the SWALEC Stadium - being abandoned without a single ball being bowled.

Glamorgan were more fortunate in July 2011 when they defeated Gloucestershire by ten wickets after the home side had been dismissed for just 81. They also won in June 2009 with Ben Wright and Tom Maynard sharing an unbeaten partnership of 97 for the sixth wicket which saw their side to victory.

The Glamorgan squad in full is Jim Allenby (capt), Jacques Rudolph, Mark Wallace (w/k), Stewart Walters, Murray Goodwin, Chris Cooke, Ben Wright, Darren Sammy, Graham Wagg, Andrew Salter, Dean Cosker, Will Owen and Michael Hogan.
