It's an honour to be with those names - Cooke

Glamorgan managed to secure a draw against Worcestershire thanks to Chris Cooke's 74, and the Glamorgan skipper believes that his side have gained some momentum ahead of the first home match of the season against Gloucestershire next week.

Despite coming out with 12 points to the hosts 15, Cooke thought his side improved on the previous showing against Somerset and that is was a 'hard-fought' game at New Road.

"It was a very hard-fought four days, disappointed to not see it through myself," said Cooke. "We built on last week (a defeat against Somerset) but there's a lot of areas to improve on.

"I'm just happy to get out of the game with the draw some momentum before facing Gloucestershire.

"The (home) declaration after lunch was probably a good tactic because we were five for three and we weren't switched on as we could have been for the first few overs."

Cooke also equalled the Glamorgan record with nine dismissals in a match, equalling Colin Metson and Mark Wallace, who also both coincidentally achieved their second instance of the feat at New Road.

"It's an honour to be in the same sentence (in the wicket-keeping records) as two of Glamorgan's best glovemen, but I would have been disappointed to miss any of those chances."
