Role: Full Time Maternity Cover for 12 Months (40 hours per week)
Hours of work: Variable (hours as the business dictates, can include daytime, evening, weekends & bank holidays)

Job Summary
The Venue Sales Manager is a pro-active sales role responsible for driving new business and growing existing accounts for the non-match day conference and events operations of Glamorgan CCC. This role is tasked with building the venue profile in local, national and international markets by creating and executing an exceptional sales plan. All work will be in line with the venue’s marketing guidelines and sales strategies. The role requires an entrepreneurial personality with the drive to succeed and the ability to maximize the meetings and events revenue potential in the venue. The success of this role is measured by the achievement of set KPIs and revenue targets.
A focus on profitability in this area of the business whilst upholding outstanding levels of customer service and an exceptional standard of food and beverage offering is essential.
The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for managing the sales budget for non match day catering and events operation of Glamorgan CCC including the line management of the Sales Executive and Hospitality Co-ordinator
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement a conference and events strategy, with the Head of Catering & Events which complements and supports the successful delivery of the Glamorgan CCC business plan 2014/17: 'Preparing the Roots to Grow.'
- To manage the sales and marketing of non-match day events and hospitality sales for matches held at the SWALEC Stadium in conjunction with the commercial and marketing department.
- To manage the budget of the conference and events department and grow profitability in line with annual targets.
- To manage the systems of the conference and events department, ensuring compatibility with other departments of the Club, and capturing and analysing data to inform future decisions.
- To ensure all legal obligations are met including food, hygiene, environmental and relevant licences for the delivery of the conference and events operation of the Club.
- To work in conjunction with the Head of Commercial to develop and grow the non-match day business opportunities throughout the year.
- To work closely with the Catering & Operations teams to ensure each area of the business operates to the highest standards and delivers the necessary results in line with the business plan, annual budgets, and profitability targets.
- To provide outstanding customer service. Maximise all opportunities within existing and new customer base
- Be an active team player sharing ideas and participating in team spirit, and be loyal to and supportive of colleagues including any temporary members of staff
