Glamorgan stand-in captain Chris Cooke hailed his team\'s effort as the Welsh county successfully chased a target of 195 at The Oval.
The South African had taken over the captaincy after white-ball skipper Colin Ingram pulled out from the squad due to illness. Cooke watched on as notable knocks from Carlson (58), Meschede (43) and Wagg (46*) saw Glamorgan through to victory to maintain their unbeaten record in the Vitality Blast at The Oval.
Despite the absence of Ingram and Joe Burns to a back injury, Cooke was delighted his team were able to get over the line.
"I’m incredibly proud of everyone, that was a great run chase," said Cooke. "We lost Joe Burns yesterday and Colin Ingram today and I only found out I would be captain on the bus coming here but it was a triumph out of adversity and just a really good win for us."
Cooke was quick to point out the batting heroics of Graham Wagg and Kiran Carlson, who linked up for a partnership of 63 as Glamorgan's middle order made valuable contributions.
"Kiran Carlson has got bundles of talent and his partnership with Graham Wagg won us the game but Craig Meschede hitting three sixes was a turning point.
"He has batted at No.3 before and it was another dynamic innings which was just what we needed."
