The Glamorgan bowling attack will have to prepare to face Chris Gayle later this year as Somerset have confirmed the global T20 star will return for a six-match stint in the NatWest T20 Blast in June.
Gayle had a brief, but blistering, appearance in the 2015 T20 Blast where he amassed 328 runs in just three matches which included an unbeaten 151 off 62 balls against Kent. Earlier this year he courted controversy in the BBL05 following his TV interview with Mel McLaughlin, but he will join former Glamorgan all-rounder Jim Allenby who has taken over the captaincy at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton following Marcus Trescothick's decision to step down.
The West country outfit now join Middlesex, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire in confirming their overseas recruits for the short format competition, which gets underway for Glamorgan at Surrey before the first home match on June 1st against Hampshire at The SSE SWALEC.
