Glamorgan Cricket can confirm that all-rounder Roman Walker has left the club after turning down a new contract offer.
Walker will join Leicestershire on loan with immediate effect before joining them on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Roman Walker, said: “I have really loved my time at Glamorgan.
The players, staff and supporters have been so good with me over the past few years and I am going to miss them dearly.
“My decision to leave to join Leicestershire is for a better opportunity to play across all three formats.
“It was a tough decision but ultimately one I feel is right for my career.”
Director of cricket, Mark Wallace, added: “It’s always disappointing when you lose a player that you have invested a lot in developing from a young age.
“We have enjoyed watching Roman's progress from the age groups to the first team and we wish him the best of luck for the future.”
