Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph bemoaned a series of missed chances in the field, as Worcestershire\'s batsmen dominated proceedings on Day One in Cardiff.
Brett D'Oliveira (152*) and Joe Clarke (105*) made centuries for the Pears, as Glamorgan struggled to find a breakthrough on a hot day at The SSE SWALEC.
Worcestershire finished the day 343/2 and Rudolph admitted it had been a difficult day for his side.
He said: "It was a very tough day at the office. But I think to be fair to our bowlers the first two sessions it was the best we've bowled this season in terms of control.
"They batted at 2.5 runs per over, which is what I ask for as a captain and if we'd taken our chances we could have had them in a spot of bother. But yet again we missed chances up front – D'Oliveira was dropped three times and then after that they batted well on a good wicket."
Craig Meschede took the early wicket of Daryl Mitchell before Graham Wagg got rid of Moeen Ali, but the Worcestershire batsmen accelerated after Tea.
With rain forecast in Cardiff for the next couple of days, Rudolph stressed the importance of giving an improved performance regardless of the weather.
He added: "We've just got to keep trying – there's no other way. We have to come back tomorrow and just give it our best, I can't ask for much more from our bowlers.
"It's unfortunate for me to be sitting here now after taking two wickets in a day. I know there might be a bit of rain around but we have to make sure when we get out on the park again that we hit the ground running."
Glamorgan's Specsavers County Championship clash with Worcestershire resumes tomorrow morning at 11am.
