It has been quite a couple of weeks or so for Asa Tribe who, since 20 August has posted his best List A scores for both Glamorgan and Jersey, besides completing his maiden double-hundred for the Welsh county during Glamorgan’s current Rothesay County Championship match at Northampton. (writes Andrew Hignell)
As the list below shows, the 21 year-old came into the match at the Wantage Road ground with an impressive tally of 552 runs in his previous five innings at an astonishing average of 276, having faced a total of 532 balls and struck 60 fours and 9 sixes.

Yesterday at Northampton he continued his rich vein of form, ending the day on an unbeaten 181 having faced a further 267 balls, besides striking 25 fours and another 2 sixes. Today, he duly reached the landmark of a double-hundred with a clip to square-leg off Justin Broad - his 293rd delivery and 32nd boundary. Having started the match, aged 21 years and 163 days, he thereby became the youngest double-centurion for Glamorgan in Championship cricket since 2016 when Aneurin Donald made 234 against Derbyshire at Colwyn Bay aged 19 years and 210 days.
Shortly after reaching this coveted milestone however, Asa was clean bowled by Luke Procter for 206 and departed to a standing ovation and plenty of handshakes, having faced, in all, 297 balls, across 394 minutes and hitting 31 fours and 2 sixes, with his efforts taking his run aggregate across his past six innings to 758 runs with 91 fours and 11 sixes.
