Glamorgan Cricket have been bowled over by the huge response from supporters to their season ticket offering for this year's new-look NatWest T20 Blast campaign, so have extended the opportunity for supporters to purchase until midnight on Thursday 12th June.
The NatWest T20 Blast is now underway with Glamorgan winning their first home match in Hollywood style, the winning runs scored off the final ball by new signing, IPL and T20 World Cup winning cricket star Darren Sammy.
Following the first home win against Sussex Sharks last Friday, there still remains six home fixtures at the SWALEC Stadium during the current season, between Friday 13th June and 25th July.
Hugh Morris Glamorgan Chief Executive said, With 6 Friday night T20 games in Cardiff this year it provides a real opportunity for us to grow our supporter base, and we're delighted with the response from supporters purchasing season tickets this year with over 10 times as many sold in 2014 compared with the last time the product was available.
This new fixture schedule for the T20 Blast is here to stay and the regularity of Friday night entertainment means that people can get back to the habit of watching cricket, continued Morris. We enjoyed almost record T20 attendances last year during sun-drenched July, and with the longest day approaching we're expecting attendances to be on the increase for some of the big show games coming up with the likes of world stars Kevin Pietersen, Glen Maxwell and Jesse Ryder in Cardiff.
The dates for the return of the Ashes to Wales in 2015 were recently confirmed, and with T20 proving to be as popular as ever the reality is that Welsh cricket supporters can enjoy watching cricket once more.
Full adult ticket prices are £25 for Glamorgan home games, and although advance price tickets are available for each match, saving £10, the T20 Blast Season Ticket is on sale at only £50, so it's ideal for spectators who enjoy the shortest form of the game and who wish to start their weekends in style at the SWALEC Stadium.
