Paceman Michael Hogan said it was a \'shame\' that the weather had the final say in Glamorgan\'s Specsavers County Championship match against Derbyshire.
Intermittent showers of rain, sleet and hail put pay to Glamorgan's chances of securing a result at Derby, despite Hogan taking four wickets to ensure the visitors got a first innings lead, after Will Bragg's 129 on Day One put Glamorgan into a strong position.
Hogan then took 4/74 and Andrew Salter finished with 3/56 to earn Glamorgan a first innings lead of 32. But the inclement weather continued and the Australian quick was understandably frustrated as the game finished in a draw.
He said: "It's a shame because the weather ruined a good game of cricket. If we had a full four days of play, it would have been a really nice game."
But Hogan was happy to see Glamorgan register a much-improved performance from the opening week defeat against Leicestershire at The SSE SWALEC last week.
He added: "Given our performance last week, we had some things to take care of and prove that was just a mishap and they probably thought they might be able to knock us over.
"So we took it as a way to exorcise some demons."
The draw meant Glamorgan finished the game with 12 points, while Derbyshire got 11 points. Glamorgan's next match in the Specsavers County Championship starts on Sunday against Kent at Canterbury.
