Head coach Matt Maynard has named a 12-man squad for Glamorgan’s trip to Radlett to face Middlesex in the Specsavers County Championship.
Glamorgan currently sit 2nd in the table on 84 points, having gone undefeated to start the season. Middlesex are 8th on 51 points with one win in their six games so far.
The rotation policy for the seamers continues as Michael Hogan is rested and Marchant de Lange and Timm van der Gugten are recalled.
Last week's fixture against Derbyshire ended in a draw at St Helen's as Glamorgan reached 394 all out, thanks to a century from Graham Wagg and a career best 62* from Lukas Carey, before the visitors compiled 598/5d thanks to a Godleman double-century. Glamorgan finished the game on 184/2 with Nick Selman reaching 70*.
Last year’s match against Middlesex was heavily rain affected with Glamorgan only able to face 15.5 overs in their innings after bowling Middlesex out for 194.
Timm van der Gugten took 4/63 in the fixture and also enjoyed the Vitality Blast fixture at Radlett, where he took 4/31 to dismantle the lower order after Ruaidhri Smith demolished the top order on his way to 4/6 from his four overs.
Overseas signing Marnus Labuschagne struck 83 during the second innings against Derbyshire in Swansea, moving him to 653 Specsavers County Championship runs for the season and top of the run scoring charts in the country across both Divisions.
Squad to face Middlesex: Lloyd*, Selman, Hemphrey, Labuschagne, Root, Morgan, Cullen +, Douthwaite, Wagg, de Lange, Carey, van der Gugten.
