Head coach Matt Maynard has named a 12-man squad for Glamorgan’s final Group Three match of the season against Northamptonshire at Sophia Gardens tomorrow.
Overseas stars Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser both return having missed the LV= County Championship game against Sussex earlier this week which ended in a draw.
The pair were unavailable for the fixture after being pinged by NHS Track and Trace as close contacts and forced to spend 10 days in self-isolation.
Marnus was able to play in our second eleven game against Northamptonshire on Monday at Newport and hit 276, a Glamorgan 2nd XI record, surpassing the previous best of 267 by Ian Thomas in 2003.
The Welsh county currently sit in 4th place in Group Three on 111 points and are guaranteed a third or fourth place finish and a spot in Division Two for the second phase of the County Championship starting later this season, when they will play their remaining four red-ball matches.
View from the camp – Matt Maynard
“It will be Marnus and Neser’s final County Championship game for us before they head back to Australia and the boys will be desperate to put in a performance and leave on a high.
“They’ve both been fantastic for us since they arrived and we can’t wait to have them back next year.
"Most people would have put us in division three for the last four matches of the season, but we've shown a bit of character this season and we want to get stronger and more resilient as a group.
"Part of that is getting belief in one's ability and that's coming along nicely, we aren't the finished article but we have shown more of that this season although it'll be a tough four games (in division two).
