Head coach Matt Maynard has named a 13-man squad for Glamorgan’s final Vitality Blast home game of the season against local rivals Somerset tomorrow.
Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser both return to the T20 squad after missing the last three matches in the competition, as all three of Glamorgan’s overseas players are included.
Seamer Ruaidhri Smith is also back in the squad after recovering from injury. Smith took 2/25 from five overs in yesterday's 2nd XI friendly against their Hampshire counterparts at The Ageas Bowl.
Spinner Prem Sisodiya is ruled out with a side strain with Andrew Salter, Sam Pearce and Labuschagne providing the spin options for the Welsh county.
Glamorgan are in 8th place in the South Group on eight points and unable to qualify for the knockout stages, while Somerset sit in 4th and in contention to reach the quarter-finals.
View from the camp – Matt Maynard
“We have an obligation to our fans on Friday night to put in a performance that potentially they haven't seen yet this year against a very strong Somerset side.
"They were brilliant during the Northamptonshire match, so with a bigger crowd it would be great to finish off our campaign with a home win, so we want to give it our best shot by playing what we think is our strongest side."
Head-to-head – Glamorgan v Somerset
Somerset have been victorious on their last three visits to the Cardiff ground, including last summer when a sublime and unbeaten century by Babar Azam helped the West Country side to victory.
