2022 Yearbooks now on sale

28 Mar 2022 |

Our 2022 Glamorgan Yearbook has been published and is now available for purchase.

With the Welsh county having won the Royal London Cup during 2021, the Yearbook pays tribute to Kiran Carlson and the Glamorgan side which won their first-ever one-day knockout silverware by defeating Durham in the final of the 50-over competition at Trent Bridge. There are a series of special articles and photographs celebrating the Club’s success in the Cup competition, as well as the usual review of events from last summer which, during the Club’s 100th anniversary of being a first-class county, included a visit by the Club’s Patron HRH Prince Charles.

The 2022 Yearbook also contains a special tribute to Michael Hogan, the Club’s Beneficiary this summer, who will shortly be starting his final summer of county cricket before retirement. There are also profiles of Joe Cooke, Billy Root and newly-appointed Club captain David Lloyd, together with a review of the international games held at Sophia Gardens during 2021 plus the performances by the Welsh Fire Men and Women in the inaugural summer of The Hundred.

Together with a comprehensive records section for all formats of 1st and 2nd XI cricket, the 2022 Yearbook also contains match reports and scorecards of all the games which Glamorgan staged last summer as well as details about the matches played by the 2nd XI, Wales National County and Glamorgan Academy teams. There are tributes as well to the players who left the staff at the end of last season, plus a review of the excellent work undertaken by Cricket Wales and the Community Department of Glamorgan CCC in nurturing cricket at grassroots level throughout Wales.
