Glamorgan's new batsman Nick Selman joined up with the team last month and before heading off with the first team squad for the pre-season training camp at Desert Springs Resort in Spain, he took time to answer our quick fire questions
Who inspired you to play cricket?
Mum and Dad

Who are your sporting heroes?
Jonathan Brown, Shane Warne and Lleyton Hewitt. Exciting characters to watch who had a great hunger to succeed on the field.

Do you have any hobbies?
Cooking

How do you relax before a game?
Listening to music

What has been the highlight of your playing career so far?
Signing my first professional contract with Glamorgan

What's your favourite meal?
You can't beat chicken Parmigana with chips and salad

Do you have friends with any other professional sports people?
Yes, a few other cricketers of course, as well as Damien Birkinhead who has represented Australia shot put team in the Commonwealth Games

If you could emulate any player, who would it be?
AB De Villiers, the most dynamic player I have ever seen

Have you got any odd superstitions or pre-match preparations?
Not really

Which venue are you most looking forward to playing at in England and Wales?
Has to be The Oval, looks like a nice place to bat

What's going to happen in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, any tips for who will win it?
You can't go past India winning it, especially in their backyard.
