A clutch of Glamorgan academy players are celebrating today after A-Level results were announced around the country.
Kiran Carlson, Scott Thomas and Scott Thornton were among the Glamorgan cricketers to get their results today.
Carlson, the 18-year-old batsman who made his Glamorgan List A debut against Pakistan A at Newport this season, achieved three Grade As: in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and will study Civil Engineering at Cardiff University from September 2017 after taking a year out.
Carlson graduated from the same Whitchurch High School, which lists Sam Warburton, Gareth Bale and Tom Maynard among its former students.
Scott Thornton, also 18, secured grades BCC in Geography, Chemistry and Biology from Porthcawl Comprehensive and won a place at Cardiff Metropolitan University to study Business Management.
Scott Thomas, another 18-year-old academy player, gained a B in History and Cs in PE and Economics and will go to Cardiff Metropolitan University to study Sports Performance.
Other Glamorgan academy players to receive A-Level results today were Ollie Pike, Steffan Roberts, Sam Pearce and Joseph Voke.
