Jeff Evans, the first-class umpire, is the next speaker in the popular series of winter talks held in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket on Wednesday, November 21st (starting at 7.00pm)
“An Evening with Jeff Evans” will see the ECB umpire talk initially about his time as a teacher and a player in the South Wales Cricket Association before switching careers and becoming an official in the first-class game.
Besides talking about being an umpire in county cricket, Jeff will also talk about his experiences officiating overseas, as well as providing a fascinating insight the range of duties which a first-class umpire performs in both white-ball and red-ball cricket, covering such topics as Duckworth-Lewis, over rates and bad light.
