Tickets are still available for the talk by Mike Llewellyn who is the next speaker in the series of popular winter talks in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket at The SSE SWALEC on Wednesday, February 15th starting at 7.30pm.
“An Evening with Mike Llewellyn” will see the former Glamorgan batsman look back on his career with the Welsh county as well as reflecting on events in 1977 when Glamorgan reached the final of the Gillette Cup at Lord’s.
Indeed, this year is the 40th anniversary of the Welsh county’s first-ever appearance in a major one-day final at Lord’s and the evening will include some film footage from the match in 1977 against Middlesex.
The Gillette Cup Final of 1977 is also famous for a massive straight six by Mike which nearly cleared the historic pavilion, and he will be reflecting on his feat.
Tickets for the evening cost £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
