Glamorgan play Royal London One-Day Cup fixtures against Middlesex at Lord's on Monday and against Lancashire at Old Trafford on Wednesday, and spin bowler Andrew Salter talked about the squad's upcoming fixtures.
It's a competition we do play well in, and we enjoy, so we are disappointed not to be on the road to a Lord's final Salter said, reflecting on the deduction of points which means qualification from the Royal London One-Day Cup is an unlikely scenario.
We have to be happy with how we played. The way Colin Ingram played shows how good a player he is, and the way Chris Cook finished the game off (against Kent) is something we will remember for seasons to come.
Several squad changes are expected for next week's matches, with senior players likely to be rested to give younger players a chance to prove themselves.
The disappointment of getting the points deducted does allow us to play some other players, which is great for them, and they will be making an impression that's for sure. It's good to play with that pressure taken away and with new faces it brings in new energy Salter added.
Following the One-Day Cup match Glamorgan stay in Manchester to face Lancashire in a 4-Day County Championship match.
It was disappointing to lose that game in Colwyn Bay, there will be nothing better than to get a good performance now. Salter said, reflecting on last months defeat to Lancashire by an innings and 157 runs in North Wales.
