Cricket World Cup 2019 are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play the key role of Flag Team member during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 matches.
As ten of the world’s top international sides come to England and Wales next summer to battle it out for the biggest prize in world cricket – Chance to Shine Street have the unique chance to provide the opportunity to individuals aged between 16 – 23 to be inspired, coach cricket and deliver the national flags onto the field for the pre-match national anthems.
The Flag Teams will get the thrill of walking out ahead of the teams, carrying the competing nations’ flags and then take to the field during the mid-innings break to coach mini cricket games in front of thousands of spectators. Next year will be the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup and will see the famous tournament return to England and Wales for a record fifth time; the first occasion since 1999.
With over one million people expected to attend matches and World Cup activations in England and Wales next summer - and a further 1.5 billion watching around the world - the ICC Cricket World Cup promises to be the best yet and Flag Teams play a vital role at the heart of a tournament match-day.
THE TRAINING

WHAT YOU GET?
Training day 1
The morning
Join the World Cup Cricketeers Volunteer training day where your team building, and leadership skills will be challenged. You will take part in group exercises and get a unique insight into the ICC Cricket World Cup and how it is delivered.
The afternoon
Attend a coaching activator course where you will pick up the fundamental skills of coaching cricket. This will give you the confidence to run the mini cricket matches at the mid innings break during the tournament.
Training day 2
You will fully rehearse and refine your flag reveal and delivery on to the Field of Play, under the guidance of our expert Sport Presentation agency.
Match days
• A cool uniform and accreditation to make you officially part of the CWC19 team
• A lunch bag and CWC19 drinks bottle
• A chance to get up close to some of the best players in World Cricket as well as participating in
once-in-a-lifetime opportunities throughout the match days
