Surrey wicketkeeper Ben Foakes has replaced Kent's Sam Billings in England's ODI and IT20 squads for their fixtures against Ireland and Pakistan.
Foakes has represented England five times in Test match cricket, scoring one century and one fifty at an average of 41.50. In first-class cricket Foakes has nine centuries and 26 half-centuries, with his List A record standing at 17 fifties in 59 innings at an average of 36.32. In the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup Foakes has three consecutive half-centuries.
Billings, who sustained a dislocated shoulder diving in the field in Kent’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens on Thursday, will see a consultant today to determine the severity of the injury.
England travel to Dublin on Wednesday and take on Ireland in a one-off ODI at Malahide next Friday, before returning to Cardiff for the only Vitality IT20 of the summer against Pakistan.
