Glamorgan\'s top-scorer against Gloucestershire, Will Bragg, believes the county can continue to build much-needed momentum by extending their fine form in one-day cricket.
Bragg, who hit 75 off 68 balls in a comfortable 52-run win over Gloucestershire last night (Monday), credited the Glamorgan bowlers with restricting Gloucestershire after the Welsh county made 289 in their innings.
Bragg led from the front, while captain Jacques Rudolph anchored the innings with 53, before Graham Wagg (49) and Colin Ingram (35) accelerated towards the end.
After the match, Bragg said: "I think we ended up par with the bat if I'm honest, considering where we were. But it was enough to win in the end and thanks to a great bowling performance, we got over the line.
"Our blueprint is with Jacques batting through the innings, so I've got a bit more leeway when I get in to try and push on that run rate."
Bragg was eventually bowled by Craig Miles for 75, but set a platform for the lower order to post a competitve total.
He added: "Today it came off, (I was) disappointed to not get a hundred, but we bat quite deep so the plan was to up the run rate as soon as I got in.
"It was a competitive total. We shot ourselves in the foot when we lost four wickets in the middle period and it could have gone horribly wrong, but the bowlers have done their jobs."
With Glamorgan having won three out of four matches in white-ball cricket, Bragg said the form was generating fantastic momentum within the squad.
Sussex Sharks are the next visitors to The SSE SWALEC in the Royal London One-Day Cup on Wednesday, before Glamorgan face Gloucestershire again in the T20 Blast in Bristol on Friday.
Bragg continued: "Things are starting to come together now. Our championship form wasn't what we'd like it to be but hopefully now we can get some momentum from the one-day cricket.
"Sussex are a pretty good one-day outfit so hopefully if we can emulate what we've done (against Gloucestershire), the boys will be over the moon."
Glamorgan's Royal London One-Day Cup clash against Sussex Sharks starts at 2pm on Wednesday, with gates open from 1pm.
