Glamorgan batsman Will Bragg has been named in Head Coach Robert Croft’s 14-man squad for tomorrow’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Sussex at Hove.

The left hander has been side lined with a back injury since the start of the season however he made a successful return to Glamorgan’s 2nd XI side last week against Gloucestershire seconds scoring 93 in the first innings.

Bragg played an important part for Glamorgan in last year’s Royal London One-Day Cup campaign, amassing 260 runs at an average over 37 which included two half-centuries.

He is the only addition to the 13-man squad who won their opening fixture against Gloucestershire in Bristol, before suffering an eight wicket defeat at home to Surrey on Sunday.

Captain Jacques Rudolph says his side are still very much in the competition and a win against Sussex will put them in a good positon to progress from the South Group.

“There’s a lot to play for with Sussex on Tuesday,” said Jacques Rudolph, “It’s still early days in the competition and a win at Sussex will put us in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals.

“We played really well the other day in Bristol. We set up the innings quite nicely and our bowlers held their nerve at the end with some good death bowling.

“Surrey was disappointing but I think there were some great learning experiences for us to take from the match to Sussex.

“It was a great opportunity for some of our younger players to play against the likes of Kumar Sangakkara who is one of the best ever batters, but going down to Brighton I think it’s always a good wicket down there, it’s always a competitive game and it will hopefully be a good game for us.”
