Glamorgan youngster Kiran Carlson is expected to be sidelined for at least 4 weeks after scans revealed he has suffered a high ankle sprain.
The 19-year-old batsman was injured in practice prior to the start of play of last week's second team game against Middlesex after landing awkwardly.
Cardiff -born Carlson missed Glamorgan's NatWest T20 Blast games last weekend awaiting the results of medical scans.
Despite initial fears a scan has found no serious damage and he is expected to complete a full rehabilitation under the watchful eye of Club physiotherapist Mark Rausa.
David Lloyd will have a scan this afternoon on this elbow and is not expected to play this weekend with a further update to follow.
