Glamorgan batsman Chris Cooke has called for the Welsh county to \'keep fighting\' despite enduring a difficult opening two days against Worcestershire.
Cooke, speaking to BBC Sport after Day Two, is not out on 27 with Glamorgan 42/4 after Worcestershire compiled 456/6 declared.
He said: "Our backs are against the wall here, but we're still in the game fighting and there's a big two days to go.
"The scoreboard pressure is there but we've all been in that situation and we are professional players, it shouldn't really affect us that much, but they bowled really well and took advantage of some good bowling conditions."
Cooke was involved in a run-out with captain Jacques Rudolph yesterday, which he accepted was extremely unlucky.
But with rain forecast to hit The SSE SWALEC for most of the day today, Glamorgan are hopeful of securing a result and Cooke said they had to show some fight whenever they get back onto the pitch.
"There's never a good time for a run-out, I think Jacques had a bit of a slip and it was a good piece of fielding so that's unfortunate," he added.
"If the weather comes in, it comes in but we need to be prepared to bat for a couple of sessions, but we need to stick together as a group and put in a good batting performance.
"We've got Craig Meschede at nine which is an absolute luxury so we'll be looking to still put a good performance in. We're a close-knit bunch of guys and there's always a good spirit there. It has been a difficult start but it hasn't affected morale."
The start of play on Day Three at The SSE SWALEC has been delayed due to rain.
