Mark Cosgrove reflected on a hard-earned win for Leicestershire at his former club Glamorgan, after the visitors completed victory on Day Four.
Leicestershire wrapped up the match by 10 wickets this morning and captain Cosgrove – a stalwart of three successful seasons with the Welsh county in 2006, 2009 and 2010 – was understandably delighted.
He said: "To come down to Glamorgan – which is always a hard place to come – and get a win is a fantastic start to the season. It was exactly what we wanted in that first game.
"To bowl them out for 350 was a great effort by our players, then to make 420 was fantastic. Everything went well for us in this game and it'll be an easy season if we play like this in every match."
Cosgrove will be reacquainted with his former team when Glamorgan travel to Grace Road in the last Specsavers County Championship fixture of the season, starting on September 20.
Glamorgan's next County Championship game starts on Sunday at Derbyshire.
