Glamorgan and Cricket Wales coach Hannaa Zaman has been chosen as a Girls Together volunteer role model for the new Sport.Cardiff physical activity campaign for Cardiff.
The Girls Together initiative helps women and girls to have fun and build friendship groups whilst getting active and playing sport.
Sport Cardiff aims to minimise the physical activity gender gap, by developing a programme which provides appropriate activities to ensure women and girls can access quality sports and physical activity provision.
Over the coming months Sport Cardiff will be launching a whole new timetable of activities specifically for females. There will be the opportunity to try traditional sports as well as more alternative fitness activities such as glow in the dark circuits and social running groups.
Girls Together can signpost women and girls to local activities where they can be sure to receive a friendly welcome and get active with other like-minded people. There will be activities for females of all ages and all fitness levels, including things you can do with your children, friends or extended family.
