Owing to illness, Winston Davis is unfortunately unable to travel to Cardiff on Tuesday, March 7th so his talk with Greg Thomas in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket has been postponed until a later date.
“An Evening with Winston Davis and Greg Thomas” will therefore be re-arranged at a future date when the former West Indian fast bowler (who is now a tetraplegic) is able to travel with his former Glamorgan colleague to Cardiff and reflect on his career in county and Test Match cricket.
All those who have purchased tickets in advance will receive a refund; however, an attractive alternative will be available from 7.30pm onwards on Tuesday evening with a behind-the-scenes tour of the SSE SWALEC, with Andrew Hignell taking visitors to the Away Changing Rooms and other parts of the Discover Leeks Pavilion which are used by players on match days, besides visiting the Media Centre and broadcast boxes.
Normally priced at £5 per head, this tour will be available at a specially discounted price on March 7th, together with a short talk about the use of technology in modern cricket, and an outline of how the scoring of county cricket takes place.
Tickets for the evening cost £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door. Price includes complimentary tea and coffee. Please report to the Museum, on the first floor of the National Cricket Centre by 7.30pm when the tour will commence.
