Aneurin Donald was full of praise for batting partner Colin Ingram, as the pair guided Glamorgan to a brilliant victory over Hampshire at The SSE SWALEC by five wickets.
Donald smashed a career T20 best 55 in 27 balls in the Glamorgan win, while Ingram hit 43 off 30 balls.
After the game, Donald reflected on his good form – hitting a second half-century in three days after 51 against Essex on Wednesday – and the partnership with Ingram.
He said: "I hit them really well from the start, it’s always nice to get off to a flyer – it takes the pressure of you a little bit. And having Colin hitting them well at the other end is always helpful."
Earlier, Michael Hogan took 4 wickets, while Dale Steyn got his first three Glamorgan wickets to ensure Hampshire scored no more than 141.
He added: “We did well to restrict them, and it was nice to see Dale get on the board as well."
And though Donald is in super T20 form, he was keen to score more runs next time.
He added: "Unfortunately it wasn’t 70 not out, but it’s nice to be in a bit of form and hopefully i can carry that on. We just let instinct take over and it came off nicely today."
Glamorgan's next match is on Monday at The SSE SWALEC in the Royal London One-Day Cup, as the Welsh county host Gloucestershire.
