2022 Members will be able to watch Glamorgan push for promotion to Division One of the LV= Insurance County Championship, defend our Royal London One-Day Cup title and celebrate 20 years of the Vitality Blast at Sophia Gardens this summer.
Glamorgan will be led by new captain David Lloyd this year. The North Walian will lead the LV= Insurance County Championship and Vitality Blast sides, while Kiran Carlson will continue to captain the Royal London Cup team after winning the tournament last year.
Glamorgan clinched their first silverware for seventeen years by winning their first-ever final in 58 years of one-day cricket as they comfortably defeated Durham in front of a crowd of 7,200 at Nottingham. We have also seen success in the group stages of the LV= Insurance County Championship, with our crop of homegrown Welsh talent continuing to flourish.
We will once again welcome world class talent to Cardiff this summer, as Aussie superstars and Ashes winners, Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser are set to return to Wales this year.
Labuschagne will make his return to Sophia Gardens as the number one ranked Test batter in the world, after continuing his dominance at the number three position during the Ashes victory, as Australia climbed to the top of Test rankings.
Neser made his debut under lights in the 2nd Test at Adelaide, where he claimed his maiden Test victim, Haseeb Hameed early in the England innings. Neser took 24 wickets in five County Championship matches for the Welsh County in an extremely impressive debut season.
