Glamorgan remain in fourth place in the Group B table after their defeats against Yorkshire and Northamptonshire, and they will be looking to return to winning ways at a ground where they were last victorious in a one-day contest in 2009, as the listing below shows of Glamorgan’s most recent List A games on Essex soil.

23rd April 2006 at Chelmsford - Essex won by 10 wickets
24th Aug 2008 at Colchester - Essex won by 130 runs
3rd May 2009 at Chelmsford - Glamorgan won by 8 wickets
20th July 2011 at Chelmsford - No Result
26th July 2016 at Chelmsford - Essex won by 4 wickets
30th May 2018 at Chelmsford - Essex won by 9 wickets

Colin Ingram has already posted a couple of hundreds in white-ball cricket this summer taking his tally of centuries in one-day cricket for Glamorgan to twelve, one behind Hugh Morris’ record of thirteen and four behind Matthew Maynard’s Club record of sixteen one-day hundreds for the Welsh county.

In all, Colin has scored five hundreds in white-ball cricket for Glamorgan against Essex, with three coming at Chelmsford – 101 in the T20 game in 2016, 107* in the List A match in 2016 and 114 in the T20 contest during 2017. However, Colin’s hundred in the List A match in 2016 was not quite enough to see Glamorgan across the winning line as Nick Browne made 99, before belligerent fifties from Jesse Ryder and Ravi Bopara saw Essex to a four-wicket victory.

Essex won their most recent List A contest at Chelmsford against Glamorgan in 2018 by nine wickets with Jamie Porter taking 4/29 as the Welsh county were dismissed for 200 before Varun Chopra (98*) and Adam Wheater (88) shared an opening stand of 189. Glamorgan’s last victory in a List A game at Chelmsford came in May 2009 thanks to an unbeaten 123 by Gareth Rees, plus a vibrant 72 from Mark Cosgrove as the visitors romped to an eight-wicket victory.
