Glamorgan could face a familiar foe on Sunday in the Royal London One Day Cup, with Andy Carter signing for Hampshire until the end of the season.
Carter, who featured in the County Championship for the Welsh county on-loan from Nottinghamshire last season, has agreed terms with Hampshire.
The former Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire seamer has an impressive record in first-class cricket, having taken 97 wickets in 33 matches, and is a capable wicket-taker across all three formats, with best figures of 4/20 in T20 cricket.
Hampshire Director of Cricket Giles White said: "Our bowling has been impacted by injury this season and it's important that we look to strengthen our options at a busy point in the calendar.
"Andy has a strong record of taking wickets in first-class cricket, and his height and power offer our bowling attack a different ingredient."
Carter could appear in the Hampshire side to take on Glamorgan at St Helen's Ground, Swansea, on Sunday from 11am. Tickets, priced £15 for adults, £10 for students and free for under 17s, are available on the gate.
