An extra talk has been arranged on Tuesday, March 7th (starting at 7.30pm) in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket with Winston Davis and Greg Thomas speaking at Glamorgan’s headquarters.
“An Evening with Winston Davis and Greg Thomas” will see the former international fast bowlers reflect on their careers with Glamorgan, as well as their days with England and the West Indies, besides time in county cricket with Northamptonshire.
The evening will also dwell on their lives since the end of their careers as professional cricketers. Greg is now a successful businessman, whilst Winston is a tetraplegic having suffered a severe spinal injury in 1998 after a fall whilst clearing land for a new church in his native St.Vincent. Both will talk about their contrasting experiences and the many friends they have in the world of cricket.
One further change to the programme of winter talks will see the talk with Aneurin Donald move from March 22nd to early April (date to be confirmed)
It is anticipated that there will be significant demand for “An Evening with Winston Davis and Greg Thomas” so anyone hoping to attend is advised to book a ticket in advance in order to avoid disappointment in case the event is sold out. Tickets for the evening cost £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
