Noughties British pop giants S Club and Liberty X complete the line up at the inaugural Feels Like Summer event at Sophia Gardens Front Lawn, Cardiff on July 20.
The brand new event which promises to be one of the best parties of the summer, had previously confirmed Bananarama, Wales’ very own Bonnie Tyler, a workout with Mr Motivator, a Retro Roller Disco and a host of street food and drink at its launch announcement.

S Club are currently Jo O'Meara, Bradley McIntosh and Tina Barrett from the original 7 who were British pop royalty in the early 2000’s. The group first rose to prominence with their children’s TV series Miami 7 and later LA 7 which was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic. They released 13 singles in total, all of which peaked within the top 5, including four #1’s Bring it all Back, Don’t Stop Movin’, Have you ever and Never had a Dream Come True. They released 4 studio albums, of which two went 2x platinum and their sophomore album 7 achieving 4x platinum status in the UK.
Liberty X are best remembered for their 2002 single Just a Little which went straight to #1 in the singles charts, thanks in part to those now iconic PVC catsuits. The group which is now made up of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young rose to fame through one of the original reality TV shows Popstars; they would also achieve further success with 7 top 10 singles which included Thinking it Over, Holding on for You, and Got to Have Your Love.
The retro event is located on the Front Lawn Sophia Gardens, which is right next to the home of Welsh cricket Glamorgan County Cricket Club
Bananarama celebrated the group’s 36th anniversary earlier this year and their achievements speak for themselves. Two Band Aid appearances, an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful female band worldwide with the most charting singles, many of which were international hits, four hitting the US Billboard Top 10 including a No.1 with Venus. To date the duo have had 32 Top 40 UK hits which include firm favourites Robert De Niro’s Waiting, Cruel Summer, and Love in the First Degree. They have released 10 albums and sold 30 million records.
With a career spanning four decades, and a voice instantly identifiable the world over, Bonnie Tyler is the international first lady of rock, born in Skewen, Neath, South Wales. Both “It’s a Heartache” and “Total Eclipse of the Heart” are among the best-selling singles of all time, with sales in excess of six million. Bonnie’s work has earned her two Grammy Award nominations and three Brit Award nominations, among other accolades.
In addition to the headliners Derrick Errol Evans, better known as "Mr. Motivator", the British fitness instructor will be taking to the stage early on get the crowd warmed up. He rose to fame in the early 1990s through appearances on the UK breakfast television show GMTV, where he performed live fitness sessions and offered tips and advice to viewers. Cardiff’s very own GRLTLK will be spinning party favourites throughout the day, and there will be a roller disco with a funky town disco DJ supplying tunes to glide to. .
Orchard was recently awarded UK Regional Promoter of the Year for the third time in the Live Music Business Awards. Director Pablo Janczur said: “We’ve always wanted to create an event that is a giant summer party with music directly at its heart. Feels Like Summer is exactly that! Now we’ve completed the line-up we think this event offers great value for money for an extremely fun day out in the sun - fingers crossed on the weather.”
