Glamorgan's 'Finding Lightning' programme got underway yesterday as the first trials were held at Newport Cricket Club.
Finding lightning is a Club initiative run by former Derbyshire and Middlesex fast bowler, Ali Bukhari with the aim of discovering the next batch of fast bowlers in Wales.
Over 30 children took part in the first trials with several talented fast bowlers turning out.
We would like to thank Global Cash-and-Carry for sponsoring the drinks at the event, and Andrew Steadman and Ayan Bukhari for helping run the trials, as well as Newport Cricket Club for hosting.
The next trials will be at Carmarthen Wanderers CC on Sunday 21st August.
We look forward to seeing the next batch of fast bowlers (Boys and Girls) from West Wales attend the programme.
